Q - What is damaging my lead boots (plumbing flashing)?
A – Rodents chew on lead boots to sharpen their teeth. Usually once
a lead boot has been gnawed on, it has to be replaced because the damaged
caused by the rodent has ruined the integrity of the boot.
Q – How long will my roof last?
A – Usually a 3-Tab or Laminate Asphalt shingled roof will last between
15-25. There are many variables that either adds or shortens the life span
of the roof.
Q – How long does it usually take to remove an existing roof and
install a new one?
A- Usually a roof installation takes anywhere from 3-5 days on homes on
an average size home. Weather is usually the determining factor on how
quickly a roof can be completed.
Q – Is a metal roof noisy when it rains?
A- No, metal roofs are not noisy when it rains. Studies have shown that
the noise levels of a metal roof system are about the same as other roofing
systems such as asphalt shingles.
